Men’s Bible Study
I do hope and pray that you may have heard about the “Men’s Bible Study.” The group has been both large and small in number from time to time but has never ceased to exist. Our Lord Jesus has promised us that where two or three are gathered together in His name, there He will be also.
We are studying the Gospel of John, the disciple Jesus,our Lord, loved. Currently we are covering the 17th Chapter of John. This has not been a book that can be lightly skipped through. In the Spring of 2008 we began Chapter one verse one and have made progress since then, only stopping when holidays occured or the Church had other events that conflicted with our time.
We spent seven weeks studying John 3:16 and could have spent a longer time on what it had to say. During that time various segments of the Bible were disccussed and studyed. At no time do we discuss the various denominational aspects of religion. This way men of every denomination may come, listen to what is being said with no ill feelings towards anyone, discuss the verse at hand, and in the end possibly feel comfortable enough to lead the class some time in the future.
One other thing can be said of this group. If you are old enough to vote you are old enough for this class. That being said, there is no upper age limit in this class either. I pray that you will hear and respond to God’s call to join our group. We could all profit by you being in this group.
